Planning a Major Event? Like Riding a Bike

Motivate LLC | Sep 3, 2026

Ever tried planning a group trip or a party? If so, you’ll know that putting on a good event requires significant coordination ahead of time. Multiply those steps by a few orders of magnitude, and you have an idea of how daunting orchestrating major public events might be.

Whether we’re talking about Super Bowl LX in February or the Outside Lands music and arts festival, our Bay Area team has seen plenty of major public events this year. More than 70,000 people attended the Super Bowl in Santa Clara, and more than 225,000 attended Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park.

To most, these numbers are fairly daunting. To our experienced Bay Area ops management team, though, they’ve done it all before. They regularly plan for “large sporting events, parades, seasonal tourism spikes, and major concerts.” As such, they can rely on past data and strategies to plan ahead.
